Management Accountant - Basingstoke (Hybrid)

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to step into a pivotal role within a UK Finance Shared Services team? We are looking for a proactive Management Accountant to join us at our Basingstoke head office.
You will take full ownership of central cost areas, driving the accuracy of our forecasting while supporting major global system implementations. This is a pivotal role where you will act as a key bridge between finance and the wider business. Key responsibilities include:
FP&A & Business Partnering
You will lead the forecasting, planning, and analysis processes for our central cost areas. This isn’t just about the numbers; it’s about the people behind them. You will:
Coordinate and lead regular meetings with cost centre owners to track performance.
Develop budget and forecast assumptions in collaboration with the broader business.
Prepare robust reporting suites to compare actuals against latest forecasts.
Take charge of variance analysis to provide actionable insights to leadership.
Core Accounting & Month-End
Manage the month-end close process for central cost centres, including complex allocations and internal reporting.
Load and reconcile financial data within SAP, ensuring 100% data integrity.
Take full ownership of the Intercompany reconciliation process, reviewing current workflows and implementing efficiency improvements.
Systems & Projects
Representing the UK on group-wide SAP developments.
Assisting with the implementation of a new Treasury Management System in coordination with the Group Treasury team.
Providing functional support for wider finance operations systems projects.
Statutory & Compliance
Support the annual statutory accounts preparation, coordinating closely with our third-party outsourcing partner.
Assist with UK Insurance and Insurance-related financial administration.
About You:
You will have proven management accounting experience, having worked in the finance department of large organisation. Alongside this you will be confident using a large Financial ERP system (such as SAP/Netsuite/Xero/Onestream). You will have the following skills / knowledge.
Qualified accountant, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
AO (analysis for office)
Broad experience with finance systems generally
Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
Exposure to statutory accounts preparation
Hours of work: 8.30am-4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30 – 3.30pm Friday.
